Gender: Male Height: 108 cm
A tender and soft spoken Kem who has a curiousity towards bones of various creatures. He experiments with their bones to discover new use of magics and cures for ailments. His keen eyes of observation can see through most common sicknesses and disease
HOW WILL YOU PROVE YOURSELF?
Couati challenges you to prove yourself as the shaman you claim to be! In order to prove your worth you must select 3 out of the 10 prompts listed below:
Prompt 1:
Somehow, you were drawn to this class in particular. It felt like it was a reflection
of your inner core and you were convinced it will be your life’s work to pursue this class.
How did you happen to join this class?
Prompt 2:
Couati needs help with communicating with some unsavory tribesman,
so he learnt that undergoing their initiation helps with easing into forming a bond.
You see him go through some rather, uncomfortable dances and practices that would make any
kem back out immediately. Fortunately for you this tribe was one of the earliest practitioners
of shamanism, so doing these foreign rituals would definitely get you more intune
with your abilities of a shaman.
Prompt 3:
A class peer appears to be having trouble with honing their abilities.
You decided to help your fellow peer and motivate them. How do you help them?
Prompt 4:
“Being a shaman is to reach into a plain that transcends the mortal boundaries.
Etherite is just the by-product of this plain and so as a shaman, we tap into this plain
for our powers.” Couati lectures on while he mixes a concoction used for shamanism.
“What I have here is something experimental. A potion I’m making that will enhance my
shaman abilities, so I have to constantly stir it to make sure the solution doesn’t react
negatively. Would you mind pouring just a little bit of that mixture into this one?”
He gestured with his nose to a small purple vial. You do as he says while he talks to
another student. The fumes made you sneeze which accidentally made you pour
way more of the mixture than asked, but before you could say anything Couati
tastes tests his potion for completion. He gags and immediately falls back unconscious.
Moments later he starts to giggle and roll around the floor, swatting
at the air, “Ooo weee, look at all those chickens…” He was out of his mind.
Quick! Bring him back to his senses!
Prompt 5:
Your friends are a bit confused at what you do for your faction.
They haven't settled on what to pick for their class of magic, so they're looking
to you for advice; show off your skills in the class you picked to help them decide!
Prompt 6:
Shamans possess powers only drawn from sources unorthodox to most other magic users.
The stars, the moon and even the very ground below their paws retain
a type of magic that Shamans are skilled in tapping into. It is tradition
to have some sort of ritual or custom which the shaman can pull in this very magic.
How do you call upon these powers?
Prompt 7:
As a shaman, you are gifted with the capacity to master several magics
more than the average Kem. With such an opportunity to master a broad
spectrum of magic, greed is typically coupled with power. How do you fight
the temptation of power and greed as member of the Shaman Class?
Prompt 8:
There is a special rock formation that coauti claims will produce water
if praised enough, but man is it boring giving compliments to a rock.
The formation in question appears to have hexagonal patterns that reach several
feet high in columbs. Pieces have broken off with age with moss and specs of flowers
covering it from top to bottom. In order to perform rituals though,
you need to get that water. Give the rock some compliments.
Prompt 9:
A pilgrimage of the soul is required in order to become a true shaman.
Couati has done it and so have many other shamans before him and so you
are sent into the wastelands after a week of fasting. The wastelands
are littered with debris of war, dried vegetation and desert loving critters.
Find enlightenment before you pass out in the heat.
Prompt 10:
A kem has travelled far from home seeking Couati’s expertise in remedies
and medicine. Their mate is stricken with a severe illness but Couati is bogged
down with so much work, so in his stead he sends you with a precious
bag of bone cures. Don’t let him down, remember your training.
