The cries from those long gone chills you to the bone...
You had heard from around town that this was the place to “spill the tea” about others. But it was also a place to “throw shade around”. You can't help but wonder to yourself why this Shade master seems so petty to word things in that way but you continue your trek to the tea shop in the middle of Kibali shrine. As your paws press against the damp and cold crumpled leaves underfoot, you can't help but shudder. You glance about you, rotten trees which have died long ago paint the sky lines. Awkward sounds and glowing eyes cause that shiver from before to race to your tail tip as you quicken your pace. You spot a decrepit looking building, haphazardly being held together by mismatched colored planks of wood. A large glowing sign overhead reads “Wicked Tea Brewery”. You study the dying grass and gray colored dirt that lay around this muted magenta building and decide to make your way to the door. Your paw presses against the door bell, it opens with a quick swing. In front of you stands a pink kem with pale blue hair. His dull pink eyes rest heavy on you as he glances up and down, judging you then and there. “What do you want,” His words spill like harsh poison from his lips as his gaze burns into your fur. You state your business and he simply laughs, “You think a little brat like you can master the art of Shade? Honestly~,” he chuckles to himself then raises an eyebrow when realizing your offended demeanor, “I suppose I can spare some time for you, peasant.” He waves his paw nonchalantly inviting you inside. “But in exchange you must spill all the tea you have with me~!”

HOW WILL YOU PROVE YOURSELF?
Leviathan challenges you to prove yourself in mastering the art of Shade Magic! In order to prove your worth you must select 3 out of the 10 prompts listed below:Prompt 1:
“Concealment and dissimulation. You must act like an enigma.” Leviathan, Levi for short, stepped out of the shadow of a crudely made statue of himself. He threw a rock at the hanging light over the statue making it swing in all directions. The shadow morphed with the direction of the light with Levi disappearing automatically when the shadow casted over him. He reappeared out of a shadow from a statue across the room. “Like a game of tag, catch me within the shadows.” He’s gone in an instant when the shadows bend. Find Levi in the shadows of the statues!
Prompt 2:
On a normal day while taking a stroll through an open mall, you just so happen to see Levi leave a music store carrying the newest deluxe K-pop album. He spots you too, then makes a run for it. He’s clearly embarrassed for some reason, maybe it’s because the fact that a kem with his demeanor would seem to never delve into such a genre. Catch up to him and make him feel less embarrassed about his hobby.
Prompt 3:
Percy had invited you and Levi to dine with him and his student at a pretty upscale restaurant with fine dining. While there, Levi and Percy were bantering back and forth about politics and current events until Levi brought up Percy’s student’s failure to tame a demon. Percy of course didn’t like the slander, so he challenged Levi to fight one of his own demons. “Tch, as if I’d waste my time with something as petty.” Levi leaned back, gesturing with his paw to a pasta stuffed you, “My student can take on your little vermin, isn’t that right, my student?” Finish up your meal and battle Percy’s demon.
Prompt 4:
You are left in a dark room with a single projector on the ceiling at the opposite side of the room as you. The projector then emits all kinds of light patterns that run across the room. Levi appeared from your shadow and said, "You'll need to reach the project without getting pushed out the shadows from the lights. It's an easy form of training, but effective to get you used to dodging and weaving out of the shadows."
Prompt 5:
Levi put on a black bucket hat that reads,"Shade from the shade" and he was tapping his front paws to the beat of the booming music that's loud enough to deafen anyone. "And now introducing Levi the Shade King and his Terrifying Tyro!!". Levi walked out from and onto the stage that overlooked a small crowd of kems with urban street wear and was lit up by colorful bars of light from the stage lights high up. Across the stage was Ventrus and his apprentice with a referee in the middle of you two. You were there to see who can lay down the best beats and rhyme at a 2v2 rap battle. Destroy your competition, Ventrus and his student.
Prompt 6:
At a rave, you were enjoying one of your favorite artists playing their music while the dance floor was bumping. Yeah, it’s pretty lit, you thought. There were drinks, food, good music, for free as well. Until all of a sudden the lights went out that was followed by a wave of screams and gasps. “Hey!” Someone yelled. “What are you doing?” “My backpack! He stole my goods!” People all over were getting robbed right under their noses! And it doesn’t help that no one can see in all of this darkness, but you have the upper hand. Use your shade magic to find the culprit!
Prompt 7:
You won a trip to go on a tour across a famous stretch of desert that’s said that ancient ones have made a pilgrimage across. But the vehicle that was taking everyone didn’t have a cover so the heat was beaming down something fierce. But look, there’s a tree coming! You can be everyone’s salvation and manipulate the shadow of the tree to be casted over everyone on the bus! Even a small amount of shade can save a life!
Prompt 8:
So, you decided your magic, but can your kemata handle its new found ability? Depict your kemata studying hard or practicing their magic.
Prompt 9:
You’re mom’s second cousin’s uncle’s grandson was dropped off at your place just for today until their Aunt can pick them up. Clarant was 12 and a little small for his age, but you tried to do what you can to try and connect to your...cousin? But everything you tried just didn’t do the trick. He was just a ball of sadness it seems. His ears folded back and dropped his nose. “Hey, can I ask you something?” Clarant’s tail curled around himself and he lowered his head, “Do you...understand this family? Like...where do I belong?” “Is it ok to just sit here?” He was confused and lost. Maybe he just needed time away from his family? Kids can be confusing sometimes, but perhaps being understanding can make you a friend in a time in need.
Prompt 10:
Occultation and concealment. The darkness is something you should use wisely and never exploit. Depict your kemata using their shade magic to manipulate darkness to their advantage.
