HOW WILL YOU PROVE YOURSELF?
Yurei challenges you to prove yourself as the Mage you claim to be! In order to prove your worth you must select 3 out of the 10 prompts listed below:
Prompt 1:
Somehow, you were drawn to this class in particular. It felt like it was a reflection of your inner core and you were convinced it will be your life’s work to pursue this class. How did you happen to join this class?
Prompt 2:
Just how Sorcerers or Shamans utilize etherite to their advantage, Mages also encapsulate a certain set of skills. Mages use their magic to perform a broader spectrum of abilities, so it takes someone with a keen sense of know-how of magic to pull off these feets. What’s a unique way you have ever used your magic?
Prompt 3:
A class peer appears to be having trouble with honing their abilities. You decided to help your fellow peer and motivate them. How do you help them?
Prompt 4:
Prompt 5:
Your friends are a bit confused at what you do for your faction. They haven't settled on what to pick for their class of magic, so they're looking to you for advice; show off your skills in the class you picked to help them decide!
Prompt 6:
Yurei calmly sipped from her glass of tea while waiting for the arrangement of cookies she ordered for the two of you after a long day of magic practice. When they finally arrived, a masculine voice matched with his strong limber arm reached out to Yurei, “For you, Ma’am. Our specialty baked goods.” His face was masked by a hat that was assumed to be uniform. Yurei accepted the cookie without giving the waiter the time of day and ate it. At that instant, the waiter dropped the facade- or rather, Herc revealed himself with a determined smile as Yurei gagged, coughed and slammed the table in misery and despair. She was given a cookie laced with hot sauce planted by none other than Herc. And she knew it was him. And you knew that she would kill him. Hurry and prevent the loss of the Adventure Master.
Prompt 7:
“Mages are admired as one of the most talented magic users across the field of classes and Magics alike. But you can’t truly call yourself talented unless you put in the work to gain such a honorific image.” says Yurei as she lays etherite crystals in a circle around you. 100 crystals to be exact, each looking physically just the same as the last, but with their own color with a few repeating. “Ok, my student, I need you to levitate all 100 of these crystals in unison while you walk 30 feet. This will teach you control and concentration!”
Prompt 8:
Every now and again Yurei likes to donate her time to local orphanages to help kits in need. But this orphanage she took you to resides just along the outskirts of Light City, so the kits here don’t really see a lot of kems come by so it was a delight when Yurei showed up with a bin full of gifts. You all were playing outside near the lake when a wild Gummy Gator came crawling out the thicket. What’s it doing here? Who knows, but Yurei immediately jumped to action and stood up straight and gave the stray gator such a fierce look that it stopped in its tracks. Hurry and take the kits to shelter while Yurei deals with the gator.
Prompt 9:
Yurei sneezes abruptly when she is trying to explain to you what your next task is. Something got her ill so any important Mage affiliated missions will now be executed by you on her behalf, that’s why she has summoned you to her bedside. Not too close, of course. “My student, I have been challenged by another Class Master, but as you can tell…” Yurei stopped and wrinkled her nose right as she was about to sneeze, but nothing came. “...I”m a bit incapacitated. So please, go in my stead.” She gave you the address and what was there was a noodle shop. The challenge was to eat as many cold noodle bowls as possible, but the challenger wasn’t there. Instead, there was another kem just as confused as you were. “I, uh...I’m here on Dawn’s behalf. Y’know...the Paladin Master?” the other kem. You both entered the restaurant and sat down. Time for the showdown?
Prompt 10:
The musty air stuck to your fur as you and Yurei delve deeper into a cave that Yurei was meaning to explore ages ago, but was too scared to go solo. “I appreciate everything you do, really. If we can find what we’re looking for, this won’t be such a big waste for yo-” The trail stopped into a steep drop, but also opened up to a vast cavern with a giant etherite slab floating at the center. Yurei tossed some etherite powder from her purse into the air that quickly formed into stairs descending to the slab. Once before the floating crystal monolith, Yurei could sense something was wrong. Red rays shot from the crystal right where you both stood and the crystal began to crack. “Oh no… It must be a self destruct mechanism! Hurry, use my etherite dust to surround the monolith and contain its energy!” She threw out the remaining etherite dust she had and concentrated the dust around the slab. “We need this slab for its magical properties! Please, help me preserve it!” Help Yurei contain magic in the slab to stop it from exploding.
