'In Abundance Plant Nursery'. You stared at the hand painted sign. It had flowers and fauna of all kinds swirled around the italic letters. It sat above a door frame connected to a soft cream building, wrapped in all different species of ivy. A garden terrace hung overhead, and the ivy weaved and looped through the beams of wood. All of the greenery, even the grass, looked so plush and well cared for. You press open the white door, and a bell rang just above you as you made your way in, closing the door gently behind you. The flooring was smooth, polished concrete that reflected the white lights that hung low from the ceiling above. Below each white light were various types of plants and vegetables, all thriving with vibrant green leaves and stems. You look about you and listen for any sign of activity. The only sound that filled your ears was the soft humming of the lights. You made your way through the shop. “Hello?” you call out softly. You notice in the furthest right corner, a wooden stairwell that led to a small second floor. You place your paw upon it, and it creaks in response, but you continue your trek up the flight of stairs. “Hello?” You call out once more. A soft voice responds, “Oh, hello! I wasn’t expecting a visitor just yet, would you mind lending me a paw?” You make your way to the top of the floor, a large kitchen clamored in silver filled most of the space. Everywhere your eyes glanced were metal cooking appliances.
“Could you please help me cut these eggplants and carrots? I’m trying to make some eggplant parmesan with a salad on the side!” You nod, quickly taking place in front of a cutting board, slicing the eggplants thin and the carrots fine. You finish and tilt your head towards the gray kemata. His yellow tattoos drew your eyes in, noting that the sunflower shapes seemed to compliment the kem rather well.
“Thanks for your help by the way!” The kemata shuts the oven door and makes his way towards you, “I’m Akari. I run this plant nursery, I don’t make much money from it, but it's because I give away most of my stock to the needy and homeless kematas.” You nod, warmed by the thought of his gestures.
“Oh, I remember receiving a letter from the magic headmasters. You’re here to improve your Flora magic, correct?” You nod softly, and he smiles. “Aaaah, I remember those days when all I could produce were small seeds. Let's get you started then!”

flora
Soft-spoken, altruistic and kind. They appreciate all forms of life, especially that of flora. A nurturer is what best describes him. His mastery over Flora can yield almost limitless harvest and plant-based companions. He uses this magic to feed those in need or recycle spoiled fruits to feed to his plants.
HOW WILL YOU PROVE YOURSELF?
Akari challenges you to prove yourself in mastering the art of Flora Magic! In order to prove your worth you must select 3 out of the 10 prompts listed below:
Prompt 1:
Over at Windy Ranch, a usually bountiful harvest isn't producing this year. AJ, the farmer who owns the ranch, is seeking help from Akari to find out what's gone wrong. The master of Flora magic has requested aid from you to help figure out the cause and restore the fields.
Prompt 2:
The folks at Sunflower Village all use a special type of plant for medicinal purposes, but searching high and low among the tall grass and wild flowers of the Red Wind Hills is quite difficult. Not only that, it is even harder to grow in gardens because of its peculiar growth patterns. Akari has left it up to you to create an ideal environment for the plant that's convenient for the villagers.
Prompt 3:
When he’s not tending to his garden, Akari loves to collect all the uneaten fruit and veggies from grocery stores and turn them into fertilizer. However, he has a lot on his plate recently, so he hasn’t been able to make a single trip to the market. Guess who has to do the dirty work?
Prompt 4:
Light City’s Board of Agriculture is recruiting experts on how to improve next year's harvest festival. This traditional festival is very important in kemata culture, so each decision must be made with heavy consideration. Akari has reserved a seat for you to help make these decisions, such as the theme of the festival, what will be the crop of the year, and who to be nominated as Farm Lead of the year. There is a long list of what’s needed for a successful harvest festival, so take a seat and don't make your teacher look bad!
Prompt 5:
While helping Akari tend to his indoor plants, a soft knocking on the front door is heard. Upon opening the door, a frail young kemata stood at the doorway holding a dying plant. They silently looked up at Akari and you, ears folded back and eyes filled with despair. After a bit of crying and a cup of cocoa, the young kem explained the plant was given to them by their deceased parent. They shut down and stopped taking care of things, including themselves. The loss of their parent was just too much to bear. It’s up to you to teach the young kem how best to nurture a plant, and their grieving soul.
Prompt 6:
Asami, the owner of Forget Me Nots, is in need of a special type of flower for an upcoming wedding. This flower is delicate yet very popular, making it hard to order in large quantities. It’s a big request, but Akari is depending on you to grow a batch successfully. Don’t let him and Asami down!
Prompt 7:
Akari, you and the rest of his students are on a pilgrimage to help a group of starving kems become self-sufficient by cultivating their own land. It’s hard work, but it’s well worth the effort and helping others just feels good! What do you do to contribute towards this cause?
Prompt 8:
An invasive plant has started popping up in a bunch of tilled fields, sucking up all of the soil’s nutrients! It seems that, no matter what method is being used, this plant always comes back. The field owners are at a complete loss and have no idea how to get rid of this pest. It’s so bad that some of them have given up horticulture altogether! Desperate for help, they have sought guidance from Akari. Assist your teacher by convincing the plant to take root somewhere else.
Prompt 9:
So you just so happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time when you came across Percy, the Demon Summoner Master, at the flower shop. “No, you fool…!” yelling at the merchant, “...My plants need extreme care because they’re used for delicate and complex rituals! I need someone to take care of them while I’m away, but since you’re such a incompetent oaf I’ll just have to search for aid elsewhere!” And just when he was about to storm out you just so happen to be in his line of freedom. “How DARE you block my path- Oh. OH yes. You will do finely!” He snickered with a sneer and rubbed his chin. So now you have to watch his plants. Just water them twice a day at 3AM and 3PM. Make sure they’re not in direct sunlight but be sure to have the house at exactly 74 degrees F (23 C). And lastly, DO NOT let his pet cat near them plants because he’ll knock them over.
Prompt 10:
You decided to go to a Flowers-N-Us seminar, a seminar about how magic can affect plant life and what we can do to help it. It was hosted by some kem whose risen in popularity the past few years with their books on “Philanthropy through plants” and “Botany Gotten Me to Money” and quite honestly, this guy seems legit with the large crowd he’s pulled in. While he was on stage fiddling around with his plant subjects, he must’ve added too much magic in the whip of his wrist and plants started to grow out of control. Save the seminar from the wild botany show!
