Shinsu has one of the more strange backstories. For the majority of his life he was alone in a cave. It was only when one day a Kemata came to him and taught him about Val-Shenn and life as it is that he found meaning in his life. He wanted to escape from his cave, but was unable to. Still, he persisted and was one day able to escape. Here, he promised to reunite with the Kemata that had visited him and taught him so much. However, upon finding her, she avoided him. In this time, he was able to make other friends, including Khun, but his goal was always this other Kemata. Eventually, she stopped avoiding him and talked to him and this was wonderful to him. However, it was all just to manipulate and use him. He was thrown to the Rex Bellum, who were interested in him for his potential. Shinsu was blessed with a very rare ability. An ability that enhanced his magic. As such, they trained him to be a weapon, threatening to harm those he cared about to keep him under their control. As a Barbarian, Shinsu began to become very capable in both melee and magic attacks, making him nearly unstoppable. Eventually, he was able to get away and find Khun again, and the two are training hard to become even stronger to take down Rex Bellum.

Despite his abuse and people he meeting continuously taking advantage of him, he is very trusting of people and very kind. In the end, the scariest thing to him is being alone. He feels very guilty about the things that he's done under the power of Rex Bellum, and often gets sad or depressed about it. When it gets bad, he tends to distance himself only for himself to hate himself more because he hates being alone. He has been known to say that his worst enemy is his lonely self.

The red weapon he carries with him is a weapon, used to help focus his magical attacks even more into devastating blows.
